Francesca Mavilla

Francesca Mavilla

Francesca Mavilla, Master’s Degree in Mathematics, lives in Perugia in the center of Italy.
Owner of Leonbergers since 1992, she was President of Club Italiano del Leonberger from 1996 to 2002.
She has been an expert of the breed since 1998 and has judged in several Countries in Europe and twice in the USA.
She started breeding Leonberger in 1998 and took the ENCI affix in 2005 with the name Kalambaka’s in partnership with Daniela Assalve.
Some subjects bred or owned by them have achieved important international results.

Thomas Walker

The longer I am involved in dog breeding, the more my respect and humility for the complexity of this matter grows.
The regional and international dog shows give us an up-to-date overview of the breeding progress.
As judges we are challenged to be prudent in our judgments to support the breeding.
An “IULH World Championship”, which allows us to have a look into the population worldwide, offers the kaleidoscope of diversity.
I hope many Leonberger and Newfoundland owners from all over the world are motivated to participate in this World Championship, in order to present the breeds in the largest possible overall picture.
I am invited to judge the Newfoundland dogs on Saturday, June 24 2023, and also as backup judge for the IULH World Championship.
Honored about the invitation I will fulfill my task with pleasure.

Thomas Walker (Austria)

Agi Hejja

I am Agi Hejja. I was born and raised in Hungary. Dogs have been big part of my life since I was a child. I purchased my first Kuvasz in 1970 while living in Budapest.
I live in the USA since 1971. I am a long time member of the Kuvasz Club of America and became a member of the Leonberger Club of America in 1990.
As a long-time dog person I wear many hats.
I am the breeder behind Starhaven Kuvasz and Leonbergers for the past 52 years.
I am an AKC Breeder of Merit (for both breeds) and an AKC Breeder Judge.
I am the Treasurer for the Mid-Atlantic Leonberger Club of Virginia.
I am on the board for the Kuvasz Club of America.
I also serve as an AKC Delegate for the Kuvasz Club of America.
I have been involved with AKC judges education since the first one I presented in 1987 for my Kuvasz breed in conjunction with the Westminster dog show.
I live with my husband Sandor in the state of Virginia about two hours from Washington DC.
We currently have four dogs, 2 Kuvasz and 2 Leonberger.
I look forward to meeting many quality Leonbergers and wonderful owners when I judge in Norway.
Thank you for inviting me.
